I think that the people that test and build the machines are responsible. The machines should have worked no matter what, even if the workers didn't interpret the warnings right. The machines should have been able to stop all of the oil from spilling. If the machines had worked then most likely the spill wouldn't have happened or had as big an impact on the environment. I think justice for the people that made the machines would be around a year in jail. It seems harsh but the oil that was spilled had a huge impact on the environment, especially the sea life around the spill. The spill affected businesses that relied on sea food and many animals were killed or severely injured.

The Irrawaddy Myitsone Dam

Current Event Blog:
Everyone from China Power Investment would benefit from building this controversial dam.
The people of the region opposed to the construction of the dam because it would have a huge irreversible impact on the forested area and environment around where they want to build the dam. They would aso be building the dam less than 100 kilometers form a major fault line and if the dam broke in an earthquake then it would flood a huge part of Burma and endanger many innocent peoples lives.
The author is against the building of the dam, you can tell because the last paragraph is all about how his company is working to stop the construction of the dam and about how they are supporting local groups and raising international awareness. That is how you can tell that the author is against the dam.

I think that the order of the layers was 3,1,6,B,2,5,4. I think this because i know that 3 is the newest, stenos principle of cross-cutting relationships says that a intrusions are always younger than the layers they cut through. I know that 1 and 6 come next because they are the layer right below layer 1 and they are the only other horizontal layers, Stenos law of strata continuity says that layers form over large sideways areas, this makes it so these would be the only ones that could be directly older than 1. B would come next because it is a fault and it cracked the other rocks layers such as 4 and 5. 2 is next because it is another intrusion and it only cuts through layers 4 and 5, so it couldn't be younger than anything it didn't cut through. 5 would come next because you can see that even though it is turned, if you straightened 4 and 5 out 4 would definitely be older.

I think that the Earth is more than 6,000 years old because in places like the grand canyon you can see all of the layers of rock and you can tell by analyzing the rock how old each level is and what the contests of it are. That makes it so you can accurately date the Earth's age and see the chemical phases it went through. The Grand Canyon was also formed by erosion from the Colorado River, erosion takes a long time to happen, especially in such a dramatic and big way. This also makes me think that the Earth is very old, because that much erosion couldn't happen in 6,000 years.
